I have “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links” turned on. In the past (v1.x days) there once was a problem with using punctuation before and after URLs and adresses. But now I’ve found an anomaly in v2.5.2. Maybe. Though the links themselves are created correctly.
I have formatting set to none in the body field. When I insert:
... http://www.domain.com.The output is:
... http://www.domain.com
.Note the period moved outside the closing paragraph code.
I worked around this by inserting a space between the URL and the period. I notice it, but users probably won’t.
When a comma was used after the URL:
... http://www.domain.com, and by the ... .The output was:
... http://www.domain.com and b,y the ... .Note how the comma jumped several spaces to the right. I just deleted the comma to make the problem go away (after thinking I was crazy for not finding that extra comma).
Bug with the way auto URLs are treated with formatting turned off?
