Hello, I was wondering how to show the Author’s Custom Profile Data on the CP ‘Edit Entry’ page.
Basically I can see the “Author” of entry which in my case is a Drop Down menu of all the Authors email addresses on the system (so the Author can be changed by Admins).
I would also like to see two Custom Profile Data fields -firstName and lastName. They don’t need to be editable, just displayed somehow.

I’m sure I could build a form out with the CP with Safecracker to edit the entry which would also easily allow me to show the Authors Custom Profile Fields but I would prefer to do this within the CP if possible.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks ,
    CC

    Hi CC,

Unfortunately, there’s not an option in EE to do what you’re looking to do here. Are you much of a whiz with PHP? You might be able to accomplish this through some custom development.

    Thanks Kevin,

I think I’ll take the Safecracker route with this. I’m just not keen on the idea of the Client Admins having to jump in and out of the CP.
Not much of a php whiz. Spent my life in an Microsoft environment…

    Hey C Campbell,

I am glad to see that Kevin was able to help you out here by pointing you to customization. Sounds like you are going with SC which is a great option as well.

Is there anything else you need or any other questions that I can answer?

    Cheers,
