Last week we made a huge upgrade to a site—1.6.9 to 2.5.2. We managed to sort through most of the issues we encountered, but those involving the File Manager have persisted.
We are using custom, File-type fields for some images in a channel. No images added prior to the upgrade are appearing on the front-end. In the back-end, the image names appear within each entry, but no thumbnail image is present. I need to add each image again in order for it to appear. I have ensured that the permissions are correct on the upload directories, and I have synchronized the directories, but the problem persists. I am going through all the entries and reloading the images, but I was hoping there was some way I could make a global change.
