    Hi All,

This is fairly minor but I’ve had a few people contact me thinking there’s something wrong so I may as well see if there’s a workaround.

When I view the active users list on the forums, banned members are also shown. However, when I click on their profile, it shows an error page as I’m assuming is by design. Unfortunately, that’s what is getting people to ask me if there’s a bug.

Is there a way to exclude members in the banned group from showing up in that list?

    Thanks!

    Hi dirtydiva,

Thanks for posting to the Forums!

What version of ExpressionEngine and Discussion Forum are you using?

By default, the banned member group is set to not show its members in the Members List. Can you check the Banned Group and make sure that “Include Members in Site’s Member List?” is set to “No”?

Are you using any 3rd party membership add-ons like Solspace’s User or Zoo’s Visitor?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

    EE: v2.5.2
    Forums: 3.1.8

Yup, everything for banned is set to “no”, even being able to view the site when it’s online.

Not using any membership add-ons. MX Stop Spammers puts people in that group but that’s all.

    HI dirtydiva,

Is this on a site where I can see what’s happening?

I’d like to visit the forum and see for myself. If need be we might need to login the Control Panel to see for sure.

Tried sending a PM but it said the box is full. Boo.

I can currently see 3 banned members both when I’m logged out and when I’m logged in as a regular member. I can’t get to their profiles by clicking their names but I’d really like to get rid of them in the list.

    Howdy Miss Diva!

Not full, but turned off for security. Kids these days!

Be on the lookout for an email from EllisLab.

    Thanks!
