    Hi,

First off, I have EE2 with Structure and Wygwam installed.

I’m in the planning stage of creating a section of a site and am considering the best way to approach the structure of entry fields.  I’d be really greatful of some input into how other people would approach this.  I’m happy to consider an additional add-on to achieve what I am looking for (poss. Low Variables?).

The new section is for a group of financial products.  Each ‘product’, of which there are approx. 10-15, has the following pages:

Product group page (index of all products)
    - product bullet points, containing 3 variables (interest rate, term, bonus percentage)

    Product home
    - product bullet points (as displayed in Product group page)
    - downloadable files (application) x 4
    - long ‘rest of page’ with multiple jquery based open/close panels

    Interest rates
    - A fairly long/detailed page with multiple tables and sections.  Includes the same 3 variables included within the product bullet points (interest rate, term, bonus percentage)

    Terms and conditions
    - Nothing special needed

    Application details
    - short page.  Includes some of the same downloadable files as on the Product home page

My initial thoughts are to have a single entry for each product, with the different pages on different tabs of that entry.

These tabs *could* contain multiple fields to cover every section of the relevant page, but there are many and the Product home page and Interest rates page are reasonably complex html - so I see advantages in having a single Wygwam field for these.  Certainly breaking each page up into individual pages would be arduous to structure AND to administer.  So I’d love to go down the simpler route of using a large wygwam field where possible.

However… there is some duplicate content which appears on different pages.  It would be useful to have this content in a separate field or variable - the interest rate variables and product bullett points for example.  If these are set within a field/s, is it possible to call them into a ‘main’ wygwam field?  I hope you see my problem here.

Let me know if I haven’t explained this well 😊

    Many thanks,
    Tony

What is the size of this site?  How many products?  How frequently do rates change?  Are your sales online or through personal representation?
