Upgrading Live Installation

Hi, I’ve just upgraded my installations on both local and live. But I’m having doubts that I’ve done it correctly.
    I did these steps:

    1. Performed upgrade on local
    2. Uploaded files to live, including system/installer folder
    3. Ran the installer on live

On live, it tells me I’m upgraded to the latest version but the install process took a fraction of a second.
Locally, I could see the progress as it updated from 2.3 to 2.5 and it took maybe 10 seconds.

I have a feeling that by doing it this way, I’ve somehow forced live to miss some steps, maybe run SQL queries? I don’t know.

Everything seems to be working, but I don’t know what might eventually break.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Jason

The upgrade changes the current version number in your system/expressionengine/config.php file. In “Live” you need to change that back to the original version number so the installer knows how many steps to take to update EE. Currently it thinks it needs 0 steps hence the speed 😊

    Thanks Erik!
Do you think it should be fine re-run the installer?
