Puzzled. When I remove or add folders to the directory on our own server / Ubuntu the removed files are still showing up in add-ons [including latest versions of low variables, health check (which has no cache)] and new folders are not showing up.  Add-on devs not sure why this is happening.

Thanks in advance for excellent support.

    Hello Enviromed,

I am sorry to hear that you are running into this problem.

What version of EE are you running?

Where are you seeing this behavior?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,

EE 2.5.2. Three problems ? related:

    1.  When I remove or add folders to the directory on our own server / Ubuntu the removed files are still showing up in add-ons [including latest versions of low variables, health check (which has no cache)] and new folders are not showing up.  Add-on devs not sure why this is happening.

    2.  I am also having the same problem identified in this post where the plugins don’t show up except magpie parser:  http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/221203/
The instructions on that forum post says “Check folder name from /third_party/health_check to /third_party/_health_check (with an underscore in front of the “heath_check” folder name)” That did not work.

    3.  Had to use ee file manager because assets upload to in house server didn’t work but all other assets functions seem fine.  Haven’t checked mod security status yet.  This error was reported in:
    https://getsatisfaction.com/pixelandtonic/topics/cant_upload_files_but_can_do_everything_else

Thank you in advance for excellent support.

    Hello Enviromed,

It really sounds like the server is having some pretty significant issues.

    Can you check on mod_security?

Renaming health check should work. Are you 100% sure you are dealing with the correct directory? With the folder renamed, there is no way for EE to use the contents, so HC should disappear. Did you clear the EE Cache as well just to make sure?

Is there a server admin you can work with, all these issues sound related to the server and a possible file system issue.

    Thank you,
