    Hi

Might be a stupid question, but I cannot find the answer anywhere :-(
I’d like to block content per entry for certain member groups.

I.e, I’d like to be able to publish entries that should not be readable for users not belonging to a certain group. Private stuff, or paid.
I know that it can be done in the template, but that will block all content, and I’d actually just like to block certain entries.

If not possible, is it possible to block a whole channel at least?

    Hi, Patrick,

Restricting access to content is done at the template level in EE - not at the channel or entry level.

There are a few approaches you can use here:

    1.  Output your content to only templates that you have restricted access to; put members into a group that gives them access to that template to open it up to them.
    2.  Use entry conditionals around a channel entries tag to restrict only that content in part of the template.

There is also a third-party option for this entitled Entry Access

    Does that help?

    Thanks Lisa

Actually I found the add-on you were referring to yesterday, and it seems to do the job I want!
