    Hi,
I have recently upgraded EE to 2.5.2 (running MSM 2.1.3). There have been some kinks and I am still relatively new to EE.

I am getting a notification from ‘developer_logs’ which I imagine should be a link but in this case, it is not. I also assume this should say Developer Logs and that I am seeing the behind-the-scenes id. (this also shows up in the file manager area, the underscore_id name rather than a name like File Manager, in case this is really the heart of the issue)

I also upgraded to Playa 4.3 yesterday and none of my assets, that are pulling through templates, are showing up in the sidebars (http://www.cbtcworldcongress.com)

How would one go about fixing this? Thanks so much, Rayna

Hi gtforum, sorry you’re running into an issue.

The first problem is an easy fix.  It looks like some language files didn’t get updated.  Make sure you have a fresh copy of EE, then ftp in, go to system/expressionengine/language/ and delete the english folder.  Upload a fresh copy.  And if you’re running MSM, make sure to put in a fresh copy of sites_lang.php as well.

The Playa issue is not as obvious.  Are you running 4.3 or 4.3.1- I see a new version just came out yesterday.  And did you go to Add-Ons → Fieldtypes → Playa to trigger Playa’s update script?

If it’s still not working, the next step would be to setup a really simple test template with just a single channel entries tag on it- and then nothing inside but maybe a title an your playa field.  Put an entry_id on the tag so it only pulls back one entry that we know should have data in the playa field.  Then we’ll take a look at what’s outputting.

Also- definitely check with P&T- they’re going to be more up on bugs in Playa than I am.  So if it’s a traditional bug, they may already have a fix.

Excellent - thank you! I figured it was something to do with the installation but not sure which part.

As for Playa I checked in with P&T and they were able to give me a solution which was I needed to update my template tags with site=“site_id”. Still some bugs but hopefully not too bad.

    Thanks for your help!

Yay for P&T!  Glad things are looking solid now (more or less).  Might do one more double check w/P&T as I think Playa had several updates in the same nite.  Just confirm you’re running the very latest.

And if you’re still running into issues in general, let us know where we can help.
