When following links from a MailChimp campaign that contain tracking code, I get:

The URI you submitted has disallowed characters.

I have narrowed down the error to a % character making up an html entity (?) equivalent for an ampersand.

The percent sign in the url causes this error. Is there a way to allow it in the url?

    [edit]
I should mention that I am running EE 2.5.2 and all extensions are disabled.

I’m having this same issue. Never had it before.

Turn off the Google Analytics in the MailChimp campaign. That solved it for me.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, Google Analytic doesn’t seem to be enabled for this campaign.

Hmm, are you using any of the FB / twitter features? Maybe those are also appending symbols to the url.

Scratch that - You’re right, it is indeed Google Analytics.  It seems to be adding that by default to new campaigns.

Were you able to make the links work for a campaign that’s already been sent, or is it just something you have to be careful about with future campaigns?

    Thanks for the help.

I tracked it down to it being a CodeIgniter specific issue in the way it handles URLs. I think I tried a few things to fix this but ended up just making sure that the campaign did not have analytics enabled.

I’ve made it a little better.  Freebie to the rescue.  I’ve set it to ignore all the cruft that MailChimp adds, so now at least those links redirect to the Home page and not to an error.
