    Upgrade from 1.7.0 to 2.5.2; no errors while going through the update; able to access the control panel; however when attempting to access the main site the following error pops up:

    Error

    The following tag has a syntax error:

    {exp:selected}

    Please correct the syntax in your template.

    If turn on Display Template Debugging it shows nothing additional; performing the update on a staging system with DNS for the live site pointing to the local machine.

    On 1.7 turning on the template debugging would at least provide some data; 2.5 doesn’t provide any data.

    No errors in the php logs or apache logs.

    Looks like an add-on that needs to be updated for EE2.

    Thanks but there are no add-ins being used in the templates.

    EE thinks otherwise..😊

    exp:selected isnt native code.

    Looks like http://www.solspace.com/docs/detail/selected_selected/

    Thanks your right it wasn’t registered in the modules and it was Solspace that setup the original site.

    It wasn’t showing in Modules because it’s a Plugin - both are add-on types.  Plug-ins are much smaller, don’t require database tables etc.

    Hey bakerave,

    Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

    I see that Mike has been able to help you out!

    How are things going? Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers,
