    Hello.
I am transferring my EE 2.3.2 site to a cloud site and I cannot import my Database because of the command Drop Table if exists. The technical support for the hosting company recommended I remove this from the Database but I am concerned it will “break” my installation.

    Is this a common problem?
Can i remove that line from the DB?
What can i do to resolve this?

    Thank you.

    Hey hotcoffeelawsuit,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

You are talking about a DB export, correct?

I am curious as to why you are not able to import with the drop commands in the export.

You can always remove the lines from the export and then give it a try. If it does not work, blow the DB away and start fresh. Those commands are in there just to make sure you do not end up with a mixed up DB. If it’s a brand new DB, you are fine to leave those out, but in general it’s a good practice to drop tables before importing.

    Does that help?

    Cheers,
