    I have noticed this in the discussion forum (3.1.8), here is what is happening…

    When I add an email link to a post when it previews it works just fine; however, once posted it displays (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)instead of an email link.  I have tested this in Chrome 20 and FF 13.

    Any direction would be great.

    Thanks!

    Hello High Five,

    I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

    Are you including any JS on the page? Do you have JS enable for both browsers?

    Can you show me the code you are using?

    Thank you!

    JS is enabled in both browsers, plus I have tried this on other computers and get the same message.

    I am running custom templates on the discussion forum through the native Expression Engine parser using.

    {exp:forum}

    However, if I run the forum using just the trigger so only the forum parser is being used, the error still exists.  Also, I did switch back to the default templates, however, the error still exists there as well.

    This seems to be independent of parser or template set and happening on different computers (with JS enabled).  This seems to point to a problem with the email obfuscation running in expression engine?

    Code used in the post is just the standard email link:
