    v2.5.2 - Build Date: 20120606

I’m trying to remove a plugin (Google Map Channel Plugin 2.2), that gives me this error:

An error occurred removing the following plugin: Gmap

So I manually removed the plugin. When I now try to create a new custom field, I get this error:

    An Error Was Encountered
Unable to load requested field type file: ft.gmap.php.
Confirm the fieldtype file is located in the expressionengine/third_party/ directory

I obviously forgot there was a fieldtype also. So I put the plugin back into the 3rd party folder and first deinstalled the fieldtype, which worked out ok.
But removing the plugin again throws the error “An error occurred removing the following plugin: Gmap”
I have cleared all caches but no joy, so for the time being I dragged the plugin back into the 3rd part folder ...

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

    Hey coko,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Sounds like the Add-On is not going to play nice and uninstall. You might mention this to the developer.

You can rename the folder in the third_party directory and that will disable it.

    Cheers,

Got in contact with objective html and pulled a more recent version from Github which uninstalled fine.
So please close this thread, thanks for your help.
