Hi,
I’ve looked at the other related (mt) file problems and I’m still not able to figure this out. I’m able to upload files to the upload directories, but unable to save templates as files??? I checked server path, checked folder permissions–doesn’t make sense to me.
PHP safe mode is set to off locally, master is on

I was running PHP under the Apache module. Changing PHP to run on FastCGI application fixed it. More details to those interested here: http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/35/PHP+Safe+Mode,+problems+and+work-arounds#dv
