    Hi all,

My apologies for asking such a noob question, but I want to quickly get up to speed in learning how to slice and code CSS. Are there any easy to use guides on this? I don’t mind paying. I have knowledge of HTML from about 10 years ago.

    Thanks,
    Dan

Dan, afraid that there is no quick way to master CSS - the path to expertise is the same as almost every other endeavor: practice.  I would suggest a couple of good blog sites.  The awesome http://css-tricks.com/ is a must.  Google CSS and you will find plenty of others.  The other thing you should do is use Firebug (or equivalent) to investigate the CSS of your favorite websites.

    Good luck!

You also need to learn a bit Photoshop if going to slice.

If you are working for yourself instead of customers, I suggest you learn HTML5+CSS2 directly without wasting too much time on slicing.

The trend today is to code directly with less slicing.
