Hi all,
This is a 2-part question. 😊
1. When I ping expressionengine.com using the information provided by the EE docs, I get the following error:
The following XML-RPC pings were not accepted:
expressionengine.com - This is not a known method for this XML-RPC Server
Why?
2. Is there a maintained list of recommended ping destinations?

Hey digitalformula,
It’s the weekend so I cannot bug a Dev on this, but from what I can tell, the ping url was deprecated. You are talking about http://ping.expressionengine.com/index.php right? Or are you trying to just issue a ping request? Ping request should work, we do not drop those. But the URL I believe is no longer used.
As far as a maintained list, I am not aware of any.
I have made a note to double check this info with someone on Monday and I will update this thread either way.
