Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/copingmag/www/www/cwc_test/ee_sys/expressionengine/third_party/safecracker_file/ft.safecracker_file.php on line 764

Over the weekend, I upgraded from EE2.3.1 to EE2.5.2 with MSM2.1.3.  Everything when well on both my test and on production.  This morning, I am building a new module on the test version.  I added a new Channel then I tried to add a new Channel Field.  I got the above error.  I tried to edit the Channel Fields of an existing Channel (one that already had fields when I converted) and I got the same error.  I signed off the test cp and on to the production cp and I get the same error.  I went back and recopied the ft.safecracker_file.php from my orignal download, but not fixed.

The only add on that I have loaded is FreeForm.  I do not have anything that I have developed using safecracker.

    Hello deecee,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Can you check for a safeCracker folder in third_party? Not safecracker_file, a folder for safecracker that may be left over from when safecracker was a third party app and not in the modules folder.

Did you also update FreeForm and all your other Add-Ons as well?

Please let me know and we will go from there.

    Cheers,

Yes, in third_party directory I have:
    index.html
    safecracker_file (folder)
    freeform (folder)

Yes, I did update freeform, that is my only addon.

    Hey deecee,

Can you please upload the folder again. It might be that the safecracker folder in third party is not right. Please delete the folder on the server and then upload the new one from source.

    Thank you,

I thought I had done that before I submitted the ticket, but perhaps I was not holding my mouth right!  Anyway, it seems ok now.  Not sure how it happened.

Thanks again for all the help you guys give me!
