    This question may be related to a resolved thread.

    after (finally) upgrading, I get an error message when uploading VCF files.
    Security and Session Preferences are set to NOT “Apply XSS Filtering to uploaded files”.
    the file upload directory allows “All file types”.
    and, of course, this did work in 1.6.1

    but I still get “The file type you are attempting to upload is not allowed.”

    any ideas?

    Hi pirco,

    Congratulations on the upgrade to 2.x!

    Are you attempting to upload the files as a Super Admin user? Have you verified the permissions on the upload destination folder?

    Have you synched your upload destinations in the File Manager?

    You may need to add VCF to /system/expressionengine/config/mimes.php and add:

    "vcf" => array('text/x-vcard', 'application/vcard', 'text/anytext', 'text/directory', 'application/x-versit', 'text/x-versit', 'text/x-vcalendar'),

    to the array of allowed MIME types.

    Let me know if that doesn’t work.

    Cheers!
