    Hi,

We created a site to a client and after we were done we moved the site to a new server, the site works perfectly on our in-house server but after the move i get this errors:

    On Chrome:
        No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

    On FireFox:
        The connection was reset
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
      moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
      connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

    On IE:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

The config files are correct, i read that the plugins could cause this issue so i deleted them and i also turn them off on the config.php

    Can anyone help please.

    Thanks

    Hey EpicSoft,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Did you follow the Moving ExpressionEngine to Another Server guide?

This will help with the move and what needs to be updated.

Can you check over the document and let me know?

    Thank you,

Yeah, I followed the guide step by step, I even ran the Compatibly script and everything passed.

    Hey EpicSoft,

The guide usually works really well.

This looks like a server issue with the time outs.

Can you check the server logs? Is there a firewall up?

    Please let me know!

sorry it took me this long to replay, I’ve been busy.
I went into the logs and it seems that the PHP is segfaulting:

[Fri Jul 06 12:06:05 2012] [notice] child pid 3649 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

I have never had this error before, any advice on how to proceed?

    Hey EpicSoft,

I do not know why, but the server logs are going to tell you. Not the Apache, you want /var/log/messages at a minimum. Segfaults are going to produce system level logging.

Can you check that? That should point us in the right direction.

    Cheers,
