I’m trying to set the max_execution_time on my server to allow for uploading larger files.

I’m using a shared host at site5.com. They require setting up a custom php.ini file. Which works fine. The custom max_execution_time is applied everywhere except in EE.

Is there somewhere that I can change this for EE?

    Thanks if anyone can help.

    Hey jeremydouglas,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

EE will obey the settings of the server. I cannot think of a reason we would not. If PHP is, then we are.

What do you mean by custom php.ini file? Like on a shared host?

    Thank you,

Yes, this is a shared host. Here is a screenshot of the line where it’s different.

    PHP info in EE:

    PHP info in another folder:

    Hey jeremydouglas,

So this is a php.ini file you created? The real php.ini file that the server uses, what does it have for the mem settings?

    Thank you,
