I am trying upgrade from EE 2.4 to 2.5 and when I get to the license agreement and click submit to start the upgrade I get this error:

    An Error Was Encountered

    Non-existent class: Javascript

    « Back

I have tried reuploading all of the right files. I have checked the permissions. The error is to vague for me to understand what could be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi akukral,

Sorry for the trouble you’ve had with the update process.

Can you try renaming your /system/expressionengine/third_party folder before running the Update Wizard?

If the update proceeds without error, you can rename it back.

I look forward to your reply.

    Cheers,

I downloaded 2.5.1 and tried that before renaming and it seems to have worked. Unfortunately that doesn’t narrow down the problem to a miss upload the first time or and error in the thrid_party folder. BUT, it is fixed. If it happens on my live site I will know what to try. For now my dev site is functioning properly. Thank you for your response.
