Hello,
In the control panel, as I am creating new channel fields, they appear in the cp within brackets once created. I can access them normally, I think, in templates but I have never seen this before and seems odd. Should I be worried?
I have included a screenshot.

Hi Carole,
No need to worry! Those were added in ExpressionEngine 2.3 and if you click on the table cell, it will highlight the name, brackets and all, for easy copy/pasting into your templates.
