    Hi

I am using MSM and have 3 sites set up. I have created a member group who I only want to be able to access to site3. I am having an issue that if I give them access to the Control Panel on one site3 it applies to all 3.

Further to this, if I give them permission to all 3 and also to access the content, this member group can only access the Content on site1 - not site2 and site3. When switching to these sites the Content menu completely disappears.

Any ideas why this is happening and a way to fix the problem?

    Thanks
    Darren

    Hi Darren,

    Thanks for your question!

When assigning Member Group permissions in MSM it is important to make sure the proper site is selected in the Site dropdown menu near the top of the Member Group settings page. You should see this to the left of the “Member Group “Group Name” Settings” heading.

Once you have the correct site selected, you then adjust the settings for that site. So, if you only want a group to be available to site 3, select sites 1 and 2 and change the settings for for Site Access, etc.

Be sure to check your settings for each group, for each site and set your options and Update them for each site/group combo.

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan

I have given the Member group the same privileges on all 3 sites. But when I log in as a member of that group I can only access the content on site1, not site2 or site3.

Also, another issue - It seems when I change the permissions on one site it is reflected across all 3 sites on the actual form settings.

Really need help resolving the one.

    Cheers
    Darren

    Hi Dan

You can ignore me - I’m an idiot 😊

I now see that I was not using the correct drop down to assign to the correct site.

    Thanks for the help!
