Last night we upgraded EE to 2.5, and we’ve noticed that our member module seems to be non-functional; requests for mydomain.com/index.php/member/login are met with an error stating that the page is not found.  Anyone else had this problem?

Update: I’ve got our member system working with our ‘default’ set of theme templates.  For some reason, when I switch back to the theme group we had before, the tags don’t seem to be parsing.  Attached is a screenshot of what I mean.  Have these tags been deprecated?

Update 2:  It seems that the problem is in Agile Records’ template tags, which refuse to parse.  Switching to Default fixes everything.

    Hi rblitadmin,

Did you make sure to update /themes along with your update to 2.5?

Are you using Agile for any other areas of the site?

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

    Cheers,

Yes, I made sure to update /themes, and no, we’re not using Agile anywhere else on our site.

    Hi rblitadmin,

Can you post the template code that is giving you problems?

I would like to compare it against the version of that template shipped with 2.5

There may have been some updates to Agile that somehow weren’t applied.

    Cheers,

I’ve found someone else who had a very similar problem, with similar symptoms: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/150568/

What I had thought were confusing and un-documented theme tags now seem to be global variables that are not being defined.

I should amend my problem description, it is now clear to me that we were not using Agile Records before upgrading, but a different theme group that I have now restored.  My problems are solved for the moment, but I am still confused as to why Agile Records, as shipped, does not function.  Is there a default set of global variables that a previous developer may have deleted, which are required for Agile Records to render properly?

    Hi rblitadmin,

Agile Records is an optional part of the initial installation process of ExpressionEngine 2.

Is there a default set of global variables that a previous developer may have deleted, which are required for Agile Records to render properly?

That’s possible, since Agile installs some Global Variables, and they truly are “global” and can be used by any templates or themes in your ExpressionEngine install.

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

    Cheers,
