I’ve set up a new weblog, which is the 10th for this particular site. For some reason, even though I am logged in as Super Admin, the weblog does not appear in the Publish menu or publish page and doesn’t appear anywhere except the Weblog Management area (EE v1.7.1).

I then tried to create a new entry by changing the URL to reflect the weblog ID, but I get the “You are not authorized to post in this section” error. Odd. I’m OK with going in to the database and making a change but I’m not sure where to look. Since Super Admins are supposed to have access to everything there’s no setting I could find in the CP for this.

    Updated:
FYI - the names are not duplicating anything and I also tried adding an additional test weblog and that wasn’t any more successful.

    Hi Kyle,

    This certainly odd, and undesirable!

Do you recall any changes that were made between the last time you added a weblog and this incident?

Have you tried creating a separate Super Admin account and trying that to create a new weblog?

Let me know what you find, we may need to go in for a look.

    Cheers,

Found it! We installed NSM Publish Plus and apparently even if that weblog isn’t being managed you have to set the Member Group’s “Role” to something besides “No access”, or, eh, you get no access.

Thanks for the suggestions, I’m all set.
