I am unable to upload files through the file manager. I was able to do file uploads up to a week ago. I am on EE v2.4.0 - Build: date 20120123. This happens with Firefox 11, IE 9 and Chrome 18.0.1025.162 m. I am using XAMPP 1.7.4 running on Windows 7(64bit) for development.
When depressing the Upload File button the system seems to be trying to do something but eventually stays on the file manager panel. I am a super-admin on the system.

    Hello pgikkas,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

It sounds like the file upload location is not being found. Can you check that the path to the location is still good? Did the perms on the folder change?

That is where I would start.

Please let me know what you find.

    Cheers,

Thanks for your response. All the paths are still intact. The file upload widget that normally opens to let you specify the file and/or browse for the file never opens.

    Hello pgikkas,

Can you list for me the Add-Ons that you have installed?

Are these all up to date?

Do you have any themes enabled for the Control Panel?

Please let me know and we can go from there.

    Thank you,

Does the upload function on entries still work?

I don’t believe that there are any themes enabled for the CP.

The issue began about a week ago. One thing I did then was to update all the add-ons. Specifically Matrix, Playa, Structure, calendar and code-pack. That update did not make any difference.  All others were up to date.

In addition no new add-ons had been installed prior to this problem.
This function worked as of 4/24 and stopped approximately 4/27.

Hi Bubblefish Interactive. The upload function does not work on file manager and does not work on entries. Nothing. Thanks

    Hello pgikkas,

Were there any changes aside from updating the Add-Ons?

Are you able to upload files when in the filemanager?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane
There were no other changes to the system. The issue occurred prior to updating the add-ons and was not resolved by the updates.
Previously I was able to upload files from both the file manager and from the publish page. Now I can not upload them from either. Thanks

    Hello pgikkas,

This is a strange one for sure!

If there were no changes to EE, and this was working before this, it sounds like there was a change to the server. But you have confirmed that there were no changes. I am honestly not sure what to try next.

Is this a system I can log into?

    Thank you,

    Shane.
Unfortunately the whole environment resides on my laptop. I use xampp for the Apache server/MySql. I am not sure how you could log on. I am not familiar that kind of a process.

    Hello pgikkas,

Without being able to log in and check this out, there is not much I can do.

I would suggest taking all of the Add-Ons out of the picture. Back up first of course.

If you do find a way to make this live, please let me know.

    Cheers,
