PHP errors in the CP: Undefined index: field_id_17

    I get the following php errors in the CP:

    I believe field_17 was a hidden field in this entry form, it’s been deleted now so pretty unsure how to solve this. Checking the DB shows indeed no field with id = 17.
    Any quick fix for this? I have to demo this CP with a client tomorrow ;(

    For anyone else who may stumble upon this:

    This is caused by issues with Publish Layouts and resetting them should fix this. It did for e-man in this case anyway.

    Ellislab, can we expect PL to be fixed in 2.6, it’s a great feature & idea and I know many would like to see them fixed once and for all, sooner than later?

    As Nate already stated resetting the PL did solve it.
    It did mean however redoing a fairly long entry form - I can only join Nate in wishing that this (really awesome!) feature gets more stable in upcoming versions.

    Hi All,

    I am sorry you guys ran into this. No fun.

    The Devs are aware of this. I am not privy to their scheming for world domination, but I believe this is on their radar. That’s all I know.

    I will of course bring this thread up in the next Dev standup.
