I am developing a new EE site in an old space that has another site in it currently. That site has an index.php . Is it possible to rename the EE index.php during development and then easily change it back for launch? Thank you for you help.

    Hey srevoal,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

To change the index.php file to something else just go to your Control Panel and navigate to Admin->General Configuration and set “Name of your site’s index page” to “index2.php” or whatever you would like. Rename the file accordingly and you should be set!

    Cheers,
