I have a Cartthrob site that sends the user an email after they complete a purchase.  It’s all working great.  I’d like to automatically dispatch a delayed (2 weeks), follow-up email to the user (address in the order data), where I provide the user a link to a feedback survey.

I’ve looked at Cartthrob itself, and a number of other modules/plug-ins but nothing seems to accomplish this as I have described it.  I believe Automat:ee is closest to what I’m looking for, but it seems to be based on repetitive actions, not dynamic actions, although I could be wrong.

How would you solve this requirement?  Any suggestions on tools, modules, etc.?

    Thanks very much!

@objectivehtml’s upcoming module, Postmaster, will likely give you this sort of control.  I’d keep your eyes open for an announcement about it in the near future. He’s been working hard on it.

    Thanks John,
I did look at it, but it seems to based on other external services.  I was hoping to keep it all within EE.

I’ll definitely keep an eye on it, and may message the dev about what’s possible.

    Thanks,

    This is Justin (@objectivehtml)

Postmaster is in private beta right now. It allows you to use EE to push emails, the services are there in addition to the native integration.

Email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) is you would like to test out the add-on to see if it will work for you. It will be a commercial add-on when it releases for ~$50USD.
