    Hi everyone,

I am about to buy Brilliant Retail to add a shop to my EE2.4 site, and I have one key requirement, which Brilliant Retail inform me is possible, but using the Email Module.

I am planning to sell tickets to events, and each event has a set of joining instructions/requirements documentation.  What I want to do, is to allow the customer to book and buy the tickets through the shop, pay via PayPal, and upon completion of the order, an automated email to be sent to the customer that includes specific email attachments.

Here is the response I got from Brilliant Retail:-

An order email is generated when paypal calls back. It is the standard new order email though. The order email is parsed via the EE template parser so you can do any logic in the template you need to do.

I am not quite sure what this means!

Can someone please shed some light on this.  I don’t want to spend the money if I am unable to meet this requirement.

    Cheers - Mark.

    Hi Mark,

I don’t have a copy of BR to say for sure, but I suspect the email templates they are referring to would be kept somewhere in the BR UI/Settings.

With other ExpressionEngine Email templates, you can pass along certain pieces of information using variables, just as you do in standard templates.

I’m working to get you a more concrete answer, but that should give you some ideas as to where to look.

    Cheers,

    Hey Mark,

Dan is correct. The Order email is in the BrilliantRetail order notifications settings not an EE specific module.

    Best,
    David

    Hey MarkTechArc72,

How are things? Is there anything else we can help you with?

    Cheers!
