    Hi guys,

For some strange reason, when I edit an existing channel entry, the default status is set to “-” and the drop down list only has this entry.  There are no options for Open or Closed.

    Is this a setting somewhere?

The only way I can update the status, is from the entries list and use the check box and tick the ones I want to edit, then edit them.  The status is automatically updated to “Open”.  I can only close them in the same way.

    Anyone seen this before?

    Cheers, Mark.

    Hi Mark,

Check to make sure you have a status setup for your channel. You can do this in the CP under “Admin > Channel Administration > Channels”. Once in there click the “Edit Group Assignments” link for the channel in question and set the “Status Groups” field to the appropriate status you want to use for your channel. Click the “Update” button and that should do it for you.

    Mike,

Thanks and that was it!  I has assumed that the upgrade would have preserved this setting from my old 1.68 installation, but clearly not!

I will trawl through the rest of my weblogs to check that it’s set correctly.

    Thanks for your help.

    Happy Easter!

    Mark.
