Projected Release Date: 23rd March 2012
Requires: Blueprints - thumbnails for each template

Blueprints is an amazingly poweful module, but we’ve always found it to be a little bit clunky when handing it over to the user.
    - “How do I see all of the templates?”
    - “Why are they named funny?”
    - “Why do I need to press Save Revision each time?”

Pretty Blueprints by Red Carrot is a new extension that sits alongside Blueprints and makes the experience just that bit easier.

When adding an entry, the user is greeted with a grid of template thumbnails. As soon as they click the one they wish, the publish layout refreshes with the correct fields and the template they have chosen gains a clear border.

That’s it - training has now become “Click on the picture of the template you want”.

We’ll be releasing this for free in the coming days, out of courtesy we’re working with BoldMinded (the developer of Blueprints) to make sure he’s happy with it.

If anybody runs a site using Blueprints we’d love to have an external tester or two.

I would love to test it out. I have a client that site is going to be launching the first week of April and the biggest complaint so far is having to save the revision before they know which fields to enter.
