Data not returning

    Hi,
I’ve got an issue with MX Google Maps locator not returning results.  I have 3 category lists in the search form, this worked perfectly and still does providing I select a category from at least two of the lists.  The issue is when I want a ‘catch all’ result that brings back results in a given location and radius.  The first category selects from either a primary or secondary listing and for the example I’m working with they’re all primary so that category is always set to primary.  The locator is for restaurants and the two remaining lists are for ‘Cuisine’ and ‘best for’ and the categories both have a parent category both named ‘Cuisine’ and ‘best for’ respectively and both are the default selected fields so if these are left unselected it should return a ‘catch all’ result instead it returns no results.
This was working up until a week ago, the only difference being that data has been continually added in that time.
Is there a limit to the amount of data which the plugin or EE can handle? is it a setting? or possibly something I haven’t thought of.
I have set the memory limit in the PHP.ini to 1024M.
There are currently 253 entries in the area I’m testing and 2600 in total in the database with 2200 of them being restaurant entries.

Any help is very much appreciated

    Hi WhiteConcierge,

I would love to be able to help, but I have to ask if you have contacted the developer of MX Google Maps for support as well?

The only limits in ExpressionEngine are generally related to the PHP memory limit. Have you turned up error reporting to see if there is any notice from PHP?

Can you share you template do I can get a scope of how you have this implemented?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,
Thanks for getting back to me,  yes I have posted the issue on the developers forum with no response as yet, I just wanted to put it out to the wider community to cover all angles.  I’ve just discovered our IT dept. made a snapshot of the server from before the issue arose and I have also discovered results are returning in at least one other city which is pointing to a possible issue with data as I’m also getting no error reports.  Our DBA is looking into it and will hopefully get to the bottom of it.
I’ll keep you posted and post the templates if we hit a brick wall.

    Many thanks
    Jon (WhiteConcierge)
