I cannot edit some of my weblogs like my static pages, others are ok. I’m getting a 500 server error. Was editing a static page. Can access my control panel and some weblogs display ok.

    Hi brianhl,

I’m sorry that you are having this trouble. What version of ExpressionEngine are you using. 500 server errors are typically caused by server misconfigurations. Have there been any changes to your server recently? With older versions of ExpressionEngine when PHP is upgraded there may be issues. If you upgrade your site to 1.7.2 that can often times resolve these sorts of issues.

If possible we would of course recommend upgrading to 2.4.0

    Hi ,

I have the same issue with a clients site.
Fails to publish or edit any entries within a specific channel only.
All other channels function as they should. Cleared database & system cache.

This site has recently upgraded to 2.4 running PHP Version 5.2.6
    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

    Hello nirva,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Are you getting a 500 error as well?

This could be permissions. Have you compared the settings of the channel that is having issue with the other working channels? Under there preferences that are options, like the path, that may not be quite right. This was working before the update?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,

Thanks for responding to my initial problem. I solved it but appreciate your effort. I’m using 1.6.8 with plans to upgrade.
