    Hi all,

A client wants to register some employees as a member, but registration fails because EE does not allow their email addresses since it contains diacritic characters like ç and ü. Is there a way to fix this so I can make monsieur François and Herr Zühlke happy and allow future guests to register without problems?

    Thanks,

    Koen

    Hello Koen,

    Thank you for your question.

I am not aware of any Add-Ons that would help here. I can not think of a way around this either.

I have not seen Diacritics in an email address before.

I can move this thread over to the Community Help Forum if you would like. More eyes on this thread might help, and someone in the community might have a good suggestion.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane,

    Thanks for having a look.
I’m checking with the client to verify if they are not making a mistake here by using invalid email addresses. Maybe they are not aware of it.

    Cheers,

    Koen

    Hi Shane,

I finally got an answer from their IT department. They realized they made a mistake and as a result they changed the email addresses to valid ones.
So you can delete this thread since it’s a non-issue.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts,

    Koen
