This question may be related to a resolved thread.

Hi, I am experiencing the same problem on the related post. all of my 3rd party plugins are up to date and my themes folder is up to date, as well.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hello Lauren,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Could you be a little more specific? The thread mentioned contains a few different issues. What are you dealing with in particular?

What version of ExpressionEngine are you currently running?

    Please let me know!

    Cheers,

Hi Shane, thanks for getting back to me.

When I click on the “upload file” button in the file manager the page just reloads—no dialog box is shown and no JS errors are returned. I’m currently running v2.4.0 - Build: date 20120123.

I’ve tried updating all of my third party software which didn’t change anything. I don’t want to remove Matrix or Wyvern for fear of data loss.

My site was also recently hacked and currently there’s a script that writes itself in at the bottom of every page that I haven’t been able to remove yet (we’re working on it ...). Could that be causing the file upload JS to not function properly?

    Hello Lauren,

Sorry to hear about the hack. Not fun.

It’s a possibility, I am not sure what else could be the cause here. What if you remove the code? Does that make a difference?

    Thanks,

that’s the problem ... it’s been nearly two weeks and I’m still trying to figure out how to remove the hack. I will post back when I do, though. Thanks.

my host was finally able to clean out the infected files that were writing the script and it works again! I hope this short discussion is helpful to someone in the future ...
