I have a client who would like me to build them a site and wondering if MSM licensing allows for this setup. Reading the information and other posts I don’t think this will pass your licensing but need a final answer.

Basically it’s local sports news and separate sites for each town but he is selling it as a service not as a product, so the individual towns don’t control their sites and he essentially owns and operates them all. Will this work?

If not do you have any other suggestions for a setup in EE besides individual installations for each site? I don’t think the price is the major issue but rather the management of all these installations.

    Hi bryan2jumpstart,

Thank you for posting your licensing question. I’m not 100% sure about the answer to this so I’m going to move it up the chain and get an answer from higher up for you. Alternatively you could email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and someone will get back to your shortly.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

    Thanks Sean,

I also verified with the client that he will definitely be owning and operating every one of the sites and NOT the towns so it’s essentially one umbrella that breaks down into his individual areas so I think I’m good but I will wait for an official word from EE.

    Bryan,

With the additional information, it does sound like you should be okay, but let’s just wait to get the official word. Thanks for getting back to me.

    Sean
