    Hi,

I have a ExpressionEngine v2.3.1 installation and my host just upgraded to php 5.3.3.

And now I can no longer access my templates in the control panel.
I can see the template groups on the left, but the templates are invisible.
( even when clicking on the template groups )

The biggest problem is that I don’t see any error messages.. anywhere.

    help ? 😊

    Hey Jan van Lysebettens,

Sorry to see this happening for you.

Do the templates still render properly on the front end of the site?

If you open the console in something like Firebug on the template manager page, do you see any error messages there?

Are you saving your files as flat files, or solely working via the template manager?

Are you sure that this issue cropped up solely due to the fact the PHP version was updated?

This is certainly odd as that PHP version and version of ExpressionEngine shouldn’t have any problems.

Hopefully the answers to these questions will help sort this out.

    Thanks!

    nope

I’m saving my templates as files and work on them through coda.

Are you sure that this issue cropped up solely due to the fact the PHP version was updated?

    pretty sure yes 😊

Well, I asked the hosting company to uninstall php 5.3 and reinstall 5.2 and that solved the problem.

So yes, I’m pretty sure it was because of the php version.
But I can’t help you pin-point what exactly caused the issue because everything works fine now in 5.2
and I’m not switching back just to find out what went wrong 😊

    Jan,

Glad to see that your host was able to revert back to php5.2 for you. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
