Hi macoD,
I’m sorry, but there isn’t a way to migrate categories between your sites. Categories are site dependent and need to be created for each site.

So when I load content from main site into MSM site, i have to create new categories (translated) and in each post i have to select category for normal site and for MSM too?
I have more then 1000 posts, so this solution is not good.

Hi Maco,
I just tested creating a new site and what I did was to duplicate channel, duplicate entries and this copied over the entries and the categories. I also tested out duplicate channel, do not duplicate entries and the categories were copied over as well.
However for categories to be copied over you have to do it when the new site is first created. This cannot be done after the site has already been done, only at first creation.

Somehow I do that I have on the 1st site categories in language 1 and second site in language 2.
But now i have problem that in the 1st site i add some categories, but in the second they not showit.
When I add it on the second i dont know how to add the entry on it.
Is there any way how to do it?

Hi MacoD,
Once a sit has been created it is completely separate from the other sites. What this means is that when you add a new category in site_1 it will not be created automatically in site_2. You’ll have to manually go into site_2 and create a duplicate category.

I try that too, but how I add the entry into it?
When in the site 2 I show the entries from site 1.

Hey macoD,
Are you pulling the right channel from the right site in on the template?
Can you show me the code you are using that is not working for you?
