This is since upgrading to the latest EE and MSM, all was fine before.

When I log into Site A I can work fine.
I then cross over, via the CP drop down, to Site B and can work fine.
When I try to cross back to Site A, via the CP drop down, I can’t.

I have checked and ensured that all admin and index files are set up correctly (but then it was working fine before ...)

Did definitely upgrade your ‘MSM files’ as well as your main installation? (MSM files are release dependent)

Good thinking and thanks – but, yes, I did upgrade those too.

I’m using 2.4.0 with MSM and cannot reproduce that, but that’s not what you want to hear.

Have you ruled out your web browser by trying another.
I know that’s a cliche but you’d be surprised how often it works, it’s the web dev equivalent of ‘Have you turned it off and on again.’

Tried that, it’s not the browser.

So when you switch from Site A to Site B the Sites CP drop down ceases to fire?

The drop down is there and Site A is selectable but it doesn’t successfully change the site.

I had something similar on 2.4.0 where WYGWAM was stopping any links on the CP working.
When I reloaded the page in the address bar by removing anything after /index.php and hitting enter I could navigate again.

    Hello Embody_Bruce,

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

Did you try the latest solution from johnniefp?

Also, can you check the folder permissions? If you did update and are unable to select the second site, it sounds like file permissions are not quite right.

Please let me know what you find.

    Cheers,

Hi Shane. No, johnniefp’s solution didn’t help. And I have checked file permissions related to the upgrade process and they are correct.
