    Hi,

I took over development for a MSM EE site. there are 20 MSM instances at the moment and I need to add new ones. How does that work with the msm license? Can I just purchase one more msm license and increase the 20 to 23? I do not have access to the previous msm license details as that was done by previous developer.

    please let me know,
    thanks
    Florian

    Hello florian,

Thank you for using the ExpressionEngine forums!

You would add sites to your current MSM license as needed.

Did you have any other questions?

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane,

So I have the 20 existing MSM instances which somebody else purchased. Now that I need 2 more, I can purchase 2 more with a different account? when I upload the new license, i will get two more msm instances? just to double check
    thanks

    Hello Florian,

Do you have the username of the person who purchased the original license? We can transfer licenses across accounts, but of course we would need that user’s permission.

Is that something that is possible? Are you still in contact with the user that purchased the original license?

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane,

I am trying to get the info. What if I do not have access to this? Is there a workaround? what would be the steps,

    Hello florian,

I will check on that for you, but if at all possible, it would be best to have the information.

    Cheers,

    Hello florian,

Were you able to track down the information for the user that purchased the original license?

    Please let me know.

    Cheers,
