    Hi,

I’ve been cleaning up some after upgrading, and I’d like to remove a plugin, but I get an error every time I try. The error just says “there as an error trying to remove the [lugin” but not much else.

The plugin is Category Sorted Entries Lite
    http://rog.ee/category_sorted_entries_lite

Every time I try and disable it, I get an EE error.

All the plugin removal process really does is deleting the subdirectory the plugin resides in.
This fails if there are other files present in that folder except the plugin itself.

To remove the plugin you can manually delete the directory “category_sorted_entries_lite” in /system/expressionengine/third_party/.

Also remember to remove any plugin-related tags in your templates.

    Hi Evoir,

silenz is correct. You can simply remove the plugin folder from /system/expressionengine/third_party/ to disable it.

Once disabled, any remnant tags from the plugin will cause an error to display on the templates where it was used.

    Cheers,
