    I can’t figure out what’s going on.

    {embed="embed/header" title_suffix="Discography"}
    {embed="embed/.menu"}
    <div>
    {exp:channel:categories channel="album_cd" style="linear" show_empty="yes" disable="member_data|pagination|trackbacks"}<div class="d_albums clearfix">
    <a href="http://{path=discography/album}">_{exp:imgsizer:size src="{category_image}" auto="299" title="{category_name}" alt="{title}" border="0"}<span class="hoverOver">{site_url}discography_images/_images/album_hover.png</span></a>
    <h1><span>{category_name}</span></h1>
    {if category_year}<h2><span>{category_year}</span></h2><p>{/if}<br />
    </div><br />
    {/exp:channel:categories}<br />
    </div><br />
    {embed="embed/footer"}

    The imgsizer serves nothing.

    Hi julzmon,

    I’m sorry the update to 2.4 has resulted in some problems for you. While imgsizer is a third_party add-on, I think you have been bitten by this bug. However, there is a fix outlined in the bug report. The fix is official, and will be part of an upcoming release. So you can apply it now knowing that it will be carried forward with future updates.

    Cheers!

    I’m having the same problem, and the bug fix didn’t do anything. I’ve synchronized the files. I’m still getting this message: “Please update your category image to use the file field provided, or the old style image URL may be deleted upon saving.”

    Actually it wasn’t image sizer that was the culprit. 2.4.0 completely deleted my categories images. I had to go through and re-add each image to the category.

    Hi Lego_Maniac,

    Category Images in 2.4 were updated to use the File Manager. As such, you will need to edit each category’s image field using the new file field provided.

    Cheers!

    Yes, I guess I finally figured out the field was storing the whole path, not just the file name, so I had to change the template. I’ve updated them all and it works now!

    glad you’ve got it all working now. I’m going to close out this thread, but feel free to post again when you have more questions.
