FIrst time I hit a page it looks great - renders fine.  If I refresh or visit it a second time (re-click the menu link) it fails miserably..

If I clear cache it refers fine again.

Any idea what might be happening?

Cache permission are set to 777 (recursive)...

    Hey Philip,

Can you let me know what version of ExpressionEngine you are running?

And can you elaborate on “it fails miserably”? Do you mean the page will not reload at all?

Also, you’re referring to a page on the front end of the site, and not a page in the control panel correct?

    Thanks!

I managed to get it rendering by disabling Dynamic Channel Queries caching…  I am not using expiring entries or future entries, but something seems to be breaking.

It is a shame the caching needs to be turned off as the site is slower without it..

And yes it was pages int he site - not the CP..

For now we’ll consider it closed unless you have ideas for me to try.  I am getting close to launching the site for a client, so I will do more testing later on.

Thanks for checking in though - much appreciated!
