Can Expression Engine sort items alphabetically instead of by ID for checkboxes populated from another custom field. I am using v 2.1.0 build 20100810.

Hi Bart,
After some testing, I hate to confirm that the answer is *no*. The list or checkboxes are built based on the entry ID and there is no way to override that.
I’d like to take a moment here and encourage you to update to ExpressionEngine 2.4 😊 There have been numerous features, enhancements and bug fixes since 2.1 was the current release.

Thank I would like to do that also. I am working on getting ready to do an update and need to encourage my client that it makes sense to update. I think this will help convince them.
