    Hi,

I have a EE v2.3.1 - Build: date 2011101 installed on localhost, everything seems to be ok, but when i put third party add-ons folders into system/expressionengine/third_party i can’t see them into the CP so i can’t activate and use.

    Can’t figure why.

PS: Some of them show up, as freeform, but not all of them (flickr, htaccess maker, etc). Can it be about the jquery for CP ? is that a part of the core parts of EE2 ?

    Hi AndreiCurelaru,

Please check your folder permissions and make sure you have them setup as 755. This is normally the issue why EE is not able to read what’s in the third_party folder. If that doesn’t work. Try deleting all the add-on folders and re-upload them 1 at a time and set their permissions. I had a similar problem and re-uploading them fixed my issue.

    Hi Mike,

I had already tried to check the folders permissions as described in the install process, but not individually each add-on folder (never needed before) ... I’ll try.

    Hi Andrei,

Apologies for delay in support. We answer threads in the order that they are received in our support queue and we try and answer all threads within one business day of posting time

What Mike suggest is a good start here by individually adding them one by one.

Is this the same for Modules, plugins, extensions and accessories?

What is the exact list of add-ons you are adding?
    Are they all EE2.x compatible

Can it be about the jquery for CP ? is that a part of the core parts of EE2 ?

Can you confirm what you mean here please? Did you add an add-on for jQuery?

    Hi John,

I finally fix the problem (following the support advice), it was about chmod on each add-ons folders ... the first time i got to do so. Never read that in the userguide. I had checked the chmods, but only for the cache, images, etc, as usual.

That pointed me on another surprise about lang_files “not in the expected place”, but things are back to normal for the moment.

If I have any troubles i can’t fix myself ( hope not ) i’ll let you know.
