I recently updated to 2.3.1 and, since the update, my comment expiration setting does not seem to be working.

I have my channel preferences set for “Comment Expiration” at 90 days. This was the setting before the update and it still shows in my preferences after the update. However, comments are now open on all entries, including those older than 90 days.

Not sure it matters, but this is an MSM install.

    Hi Emily,

I’m sorry that this has happened, it certainly sounds like a bug. Can you share what version you updated from? Since this is an MSM install, are channels in all your sites affected?

    Thanks!

    IIRC, I updated from v2.1.1

I’m not sure if it affects other channels on the MSM sites, as I don’t have commenting on those. But I’ll set up a test scenario for both sometime today or tomorrow to check.

    Hi Dan,

I’ve confirmed this is happening across all of the channels in my sites.

    Thanks,
    Emily

    Hi Emily,

I’ve replicated this by creating new entries in my sandbox install and setting the expiry date to before today - comments are still enabled. I’ve filed a bug report for you on this issue. I encourage you to comment on that thread in order to keep informed of the status of the fix.
