    Hey there fellow EE friends,

    I recently upgraded a site from 1.7.1 to EE 2.3.1 and am experiencing a little trouble with some parse errors…

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘>’ in /home/content/55/8700955/html/eecmssystem/expressionengine/libraries/Functions.php(656) : eval()‘d code on line 4

    URL in question: http://staging.aerometric.com/about/headlines/
    URL using same template and working ok: http://staging.aerometric.com/markets/airports/

    This is what I get when trying to access some pages on the site. Odd this is that the template being used throws this error on some pages, but not on others. Wondering if it is template related at all or something else going on.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Danielle

    Hi Made By Spark,

    I’m sorry you having some issues after your upgrade. I’ll do everything I can to help you sort this out. Let’s start by having you post the template code where the errors are being displayed. I can’t see them by visiting the links, because they are only visible to logged in Super Admins. Also, do you have any third-party add-ons in use on these templates?

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

    Thanks so much for reaching out! I think I found the issue. An old conditional entry that worked in EE1 needed to be wrapped in some ‘’ marks once updated to EE2…

    {if {page_projects:total_related_entries} > 1}

    needed to be:

    {if '{page_projects:total_related_entries}' > 1}

    Appreciate the reply. Have a great weekend.

    Cheers,
    Danielle
