Duplicate Category URL Titles?

I just ran into a troubleshooting issue where duplicate categories with the same url title were created.

This caused some issues with Solspace Super Search results.

Is there, or should there be a check that does not allow duplicate category url titles?

I know it is in there for channels.

Hi Jim,

We are indeed aware of this issue and it is being corrected. The check only occurs within the same Category group. Unfortunately, ExpressionEngine will allow you to create a duplicate URL title in a different category group. I can’t say for sure when this bug will be fixed, but we are working on it.
